Yamaha will be releasing 3 new receivers over the next few months. They will be the RX-V1900, RX-V3900, and the little brother to the Z11, the RX-Z7. I have the NPB sheets on them, but even though I tried to compress them using winzip, they are too big. If anyone knows how to post them here, let me know and I'll email them to you.They also announced a Blu-ray player (BD-S2900).They look pretty sweet.The ship dates are Sept. for the RX-V1900 (MSRP $1399.95), Oct. for the RX-V3900 (MSRP $1899,95), and Nov. for the RX-Z7 (MSRP $2699.95).The Blu-ray will ship sometime this month (MSRP $1199.95).
The RX-Z7 is a US model with premium RX-Vx900 electronics but in a small flagship chassis; see rear apron for family resemblance; note [top right rear] USB connection, plus additional Zone 4 RCA connectors, etc., NOT on RX-V3900 (picture also shows other US model specific features).The DSP-Z7 is a General model integrated [DSP] amplifier, with the same 'small flagship' chassis and 'all region' electronics as the US model RX-Z7, but no tuner. [The requirement to allow space for analog tuner inputs on the DSP-Z7's rear apron is the reason there is now some unused space adjacent to the MD/CD-R analog terminals on the RX-V3900, RX-Z7, et alia.][My guess for the rumored RX-V4900: A General model containing the 'all region' electronics from the US model RX-Z7, but in a 'standard' RX-Vx900 chassis, not the RX-Z7's 'small flagship' chassis.]It looks like the HTR ["big box" distribution channel] equivalent of the RX-V1900 is the HTR-6290.
